                                                           Patrick On The Court –

Patrick is a very hard worker, and gives 110% whether it’s in a game or just a scrimmage. He is very competitive and wants to do his very best on every play. Patrick has a great shooting technique and is a very good 3 point shooter, but also has a nice midrange and pull-up jump shot off the dribble. Patrick can also handle the ball very well for his size and has a repertoire of dribble moves. Patrick plays with both power and finesse, and can attack the basket with great athleticism and either finish with a high flying dunk or a smooth finger roll. During the past year Patrick has also played some power forward and now posses some very good post moves, which he utilises when being guarded by a smaller defender. Although Patrick enjoys creating for his teammates he can also be relied upon to be a scorer .Defensively, during this season patrick has gaurded all positions from point gaurd to center, he is quick enough to stay in front of the point gaurds and his length discourages the shot,he also has the height and footwork to make life difficult for players in the post.Above all Patrick has a thirst for knowledge and is happy to do whatever his coaches ask of him and just wants to be the best he can be!

James Bamfield (Head Coach Fury Basketball 2003 - 2011)

I coached Patrick for 5 years from the age of 16 to 21. During that time I was witness to what is Patrick greatest strength his ability and desire for self improvement. When Patrick first joined the Fury he was extremely raw from a basketball fundamentals and knowledge perspective but had decent size. He had also previously struggled academically and was in danger of taking the wrong path through life. As Patrick stayed a part of the program he showed some improvement, but I was not sure if he had what it took to reach the next level. Over the past 4 years I am proud to say I have been proven very wrong. By Patrick’s third year for us he was given an improved role on the team and flourished with the responsibility, he dedicated himself to the weight room and added at least 10kilos while becoming significantly stronger and more agile. He also changed his attitude to the game becoming a real “student of the game” and was keen for instruction. Perhaps starting to realise the potential and opportunities he had I was most impressed with his attitude to his studies and the local community becoming an excellent student and coaching basketball in the community to 5 – 16 year olds.
I have not had the chance to see Patrick play since he got to US College but I keep in close touch and understand he is even hungrier for opportunities to improve now. I believe he is now a grade A student and also takes time while in the UK to run his own charity basketball tournament and work our youth basketball summer camp.

In my view Patrick is a good basketball player with a tremendous upside and a great person.

Craig Williams -

My name is Craig Williams an Erskine College Graduate, who played four years of basketball while in school at Erskine. A four year starter and a three time All-Conference who lead his team in scoring, rebounding, and blocks three out of his four years. I had the chance to play with Patrick Manifold on the King's Lynn Fury Basketball team for the 2007-2008 season and was very impressed by his ability and knowledge of the game. He is a great team player and understands what his role on the team is. He can finish inside with great touch and can step out and make a jumper and even take his defender off the dribble and finish at the rim. He is always looking for ways to improve his game and to help his team out. He has the ability to make any team that much better.

                                                                                About me

Well I eat, sleep and breathe basketball.Im a confident and outgoing person that enjoys being part of a team. I want to be the best player I can be and work hard to pursue that goal. I have never missed a game or practice due to injury and was the only player this season to play every game, I think this is because I stretch well and look after my body as well as having a very nutritious diet. As well as practice I still find time to get in a personal shooting workout every day, I also go to the gym everyday and plan on adding lots of muscle during the offseason. I am also a level 2 qualified basketball coach, and coach in many schools in the community.I enjoy spending time with friends and family and listening to music. Mostly I’m just dedicated to being the best person I can be and achieving all my goals.
